We had warped the loom with enough yarn for samples and a 60" scarf.  The first classes were trying different samples and techniques and the last 3 classes (which I missed one) was to weave the scarf.

I don't think I would use this yarn Louet Gems sport again for socks although it is beautiful, and the colours are rich.  I just think it it as tad to heavy for normal socks.

After ripping up the carpet we were told that Miniwax has a floor refinisher that might help us.  After looking into it, I quickly decided against it.  Why - well the need to reapply it after 4-6 months.  I am not going to move my furniture and not walk in my living room for 1 day every 4-6 months. They are KPPPM and have been through the washing machine 3 -4 times (I also handwash my socks). I am using a navy colour as the contrast and a light variegated blue for the MC.  I have done the first two rows of blocks twice now.
